Postural yoga in english. Klara’s Hirao classes
9 października | 15:30 – 17:00
We invite you to regular classes every Wednesday. During classes, we become friends with our spines, performing asanas and exercises that support them and restore healthy body posture. The postural center plays a key role in proper body positioning, including the abdominal muscles, pelvic floor, multifidus, gluteal muscles and diaphragm. Activating these muscles in an appropriate way helps minimize the forces that deform the spine during movement, thus providing relief from existing ailments. It is important that the tension of the center muscles directs our every movement, which is why our practice aims to increase the awareness of these muscles. In addition to strengthening, we also practice relaxation, especially in those areas that are subject to spasm as a result of a sedentary lifestyle.
At the end of each session, before relaxation, we will practice techniques that will help us rebuild our natural breathing pattern. Breath is a bridge between the body and the mind – conscious, free breathing calms the mind.
Proper body posture:
* gives us energy and reduces tension – proper maintenance of the body affects the structural balance, which in turn reduces the load on muscles, joints and spine, preventing unnecessary tension and pain, thanks to which we spend our energy resources better;
* keeps the nervous system in balance – maintaining proper body posture reduces pressure on nervous structures, supports the proper functioning of the nervous system, improves communication between nerve cells and provides optimal conditions for nerve regeneration and coping with stress;
* promotes digestion – body posture affects the digestive system, minimizing or intensifying digestive problems such as flatulence or reflux; Maintaining the correct position allows for more effective use of digestive enzymes, which promotes proper digestion and absorption of nutrients;
* regenerates and improves mood – better body posture affects blood circulation and supplies more oxygen to internal organs, which accelerates regenerative processes and increases the overall efficiency of the body; adequate oxygen is crucial for the production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, which affect mood and overall well-being, and increased oxygen delivery to the brain can also improve concentration, memory and cognitive function.
Preparation for classes:
For greater comfort and safety, bring your own mat and blanket when coming to classes at the center. If you want to use the center mat, please come a little earlier to disinfect it before the classes (also after the classes, the liquid is available on site). Have a blanket and socks on hand – they will be useful during the final relaxation. Eat at least 2.5 hours in advance. Get things done so that you will have time for yourself for the next 1.5 hours.
Klara Hirao : I am a certified yoga teacher. I have completed the Vinyasa Yoga 200h Yoga Alliance course, Samadhi Joga, Warsaw 2021 and the Yoga Therapy 250h course, Yoga Vidya Gurukul, Trimbak, India 2023.
I was born in Japan (my father is Japanese, my mother is Polish), in the town of Fujiyoshida, at the foot of Mount Fuji, when I was four years old we moved to Poland. As a professional I had been programming for seven years, working in smaller and larger companies both Polish and foreign. I reached the stage where I was managing a team of software developers and you could say I was a successful woman. However I clearly remember that at the very beginning of my working path, it seemed to me that if I’d ever got to even half of that way, I would finally find peace and happiness. But of course it didn’t happen.
My adventure with yoga began with meditation and books on Eastern spirituality. The model of life proposed by the Western culture did not work for me and, like many other people, I searched for answers to various questions. I am grateful that fate led me to a spiritual path. Since I left my job I have spent the last two years travelling. I cycled down the coast of Portugal and lived in caves in the Canary Islands. I made a journey to India, where I spent a month in an ashram. In my life I strive for simplicity, to want less, not more.
